Attending The Sziget Festival Budapest Hungary
One of the biggest musical events in Europe happens in August of each year in Budapest, Hungary. The week-long Sziget Festival is visited by over half a million music fans all across Europe. Despite its relative success, this festival has had its ups and downs through the years. Starting in the early 90’s, the sziget festival Budapest Hungary is one musical event Europeans do not dare miss. However, the big crowd and musical performances from hundreds of artists drew flak from local officials in Budapest who claimed residents could not sleep because of all the noise. It came at a time when one of rock music’s legends, The Iron Maiden, was set to perform. To settle the matter, the festival organizers agreed to start performances at an earlier time. It can not be denied, though, that Sziget has come a long way from just helping the Budapest government raise funds. It is now an established culture of Hungarian people in particular and the European music lovers in general.
