Home health is an often forgotten topic. Well it is not on most people’s what to chat about list. I guess if you are relatively healthy you get on with life and do not think about being sick. I am a home care worker so I see it every week as a professional care giver. Walking with someone, figuratively speaking, down the path of long term care or hospice care changes your perspective a bit. You appreciate the health that you have and the health of those around you. Even in writing this I find myself thinking about loved ones who are older and praying that they stay as healthy as possible. The old adage, “If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything.” They are absolutely right. I just wish it didn’t take getting sick for people to realize just how much of a blessing it is to be well.
It is unreal to me how often family members don’t realize the job descriptions of the home health care worker. I am finding that they really want a nanny or a maid instead of a home health care worker. Setting up the job description clearly at the beginning of the term is important. Its necessary that all involved understand the full scope of the agreement so that there is no confusion down the road when hints are given or extra duties are asked for or expected. I can’t count how many times sinks full of dishes are left for me when I come to care in the morning. Its almost as if they wanted the cobblers elves to show up and make everything clean and shiny again. It is not my job to play elf or housekeeper and I will not be hinted at or expected to tidy things up that I did not dirty.
If you were an unemployed person then you could understand the problems of an unemployed. He is neither a student and nor a employee, he lives in a state of hesitation where everything seems pale. An unemployed have nothing except the frustration. When a man fall in the trap of unemployment it will be too much difficult for him to get out of the trap. When a man gets unemployed, he becomes frustrated, where a frustrated man cannot easily escape. To save the people for such frustration and hesitating situation government provides some benefits to the unemployed. There are two types of benefit schemes provided by the government. One scheme for the people who are over 25 and another is for the people below 25 years. extended unemployment benefits vote should make immediately because the amount provided by the government is not sufficient for the unemployed. Government also takes necessary steps to create more job in the country. A benefit program may give a temporary solution but to get a complete solution there is no alternative of creating the new job for the unemployed.
