Boston Transportation Status (archive)
Dear Parents and Guardians, Once again it seems that Boston will be hit by a rather large snowstorm, and as a result a Boston Car Service, a well known Logan airport transportation provider, will be helping us out. In the meantime we have decided the following. First of all, the April 25th snow day reserve that is on the school calendar has now been made a school day.
Additionally, we are making a change to the Parent/Teacher conferences next week for Middle School and Upper School. Thursday, February 10th will remain a half day of classes with dismissal at noon. Conferences will be in the afternoon from 1pm-6pm. However, Middle School and Upper School will have classes on Friday the 11th.
For Middle School & Upper School only, if you have already signed up for an appointment it is no longer valid, and you will need to sign up again. Conference sign-up will be re-opened on this Wednesday morning at 9am. Since less time for conferences is now available, we do ask that you only sign up for conferences if you really need to speak with a teacher.
Lower School and Maternelle will continue with conferences as previously planned on Thursday afternoon the 10th and all day Friday the 11th. Students in Lower School and Maternelle, however, will have school on the snow day reserve on Friday, March 18th. Middle & Upper School students will have that day off while their teachers take part in in-service training that has been planned in advance with a renowned outside speaker.
